Registration for EDM: Photography Lessons is Closed

Beginner Class: The student will start by learning about visual elements, design and how to communicate using photography. The student will learn about point of view and perspectives to communicate to the audience, as well as how to use their camera's basic buttons and functions.

About the instructor: Samantha Parker is a Grant MacEwan University graduate in Design studies. Since graduating in 2010 with a major in Photography, she has travelled around the world building her own photography business. Throughout the course, students will lear how to more effectively use their personal cameras, develop their skills in composition and design, and further develop their creative instincts.

Students will need access to a camera of their choice, preference is a camera rather than a camera phone.

WHEN: Friday March 2, 9, 16 and Thursday, March 22
TIME: 1:00-2:30pm
WHO: CFL Students Grades 7-12
COST: $125.00/Student

This activity will meet some of the learning outcomes of Art and Photography.

This event is suitable for students grades 7-12.

Registration Timeline: Registration for Traditional Home Education Students will commence 7 days following the date the event opens. Registration for Traditional Students will open on Janaury 15.
Supervision ratios will be in accordance with School Board policy, Safety Guidelines for Physical Activity in Alberta Schools and venue requirements.

Parent participation is voluntary. No siblings please.
