Registration for PROV: High School Camp Rivers Edge 2019 is Closed

Looking to meet other CFL high school students? Would you like an opportunity to experience an outdoor adventure? Let's escape for an overnight wilderness retreat at Camp Rivers Edge! Open to our Grade 9, 10, 11, and 12 students! The many activities will include ropes course, orienteering, archery, horseback riding, and MORE! All students that participate in this two-day retreat will earn a Career & Technology Studies Wildlife credit. First-timers will earn Wildlife 1010. Second-timers or third-timers will earn Wildlife 2910 or Wildlife 3910.

Pack a NUT FREE LUNCH AND SNACK FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9TH


Be prepared for many outdoor activities such as archery, trail riding, wall climbing, hiking, and field games.

2. Please do not leave your student at Camp Rivers Edge until The Centre for Learning@HOME staff arrive.

Packing List:
NUT FREE LUNCH AND SNACK FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9TH
Sleeping bag, pillow and a twin fitted and flat sheet
Personal Toiletries
Towel and face cloth
Flashlight
Indoor shoes or slippers
Rain coat / winter jacket and boots
Closed toes shoes
Long pants - needed for riding and other activities
Hat/ Touque and mitts
Pack weather appropriate clothing; please keep in mind the weather is ever changing
Pajamas - There are no private rooms please bring appropriate sleep attire.
- Required medication ie Epi Pen or inhalers
All emergency medications such as Epi-pens, Inhalers, etc. are required, must be labeled with the student's name and dosage, and must be on site for participation in activities.

If your child will be dropped off or picked up by someone other than the parent, a note or email must be sent letting the coordinator know.


Risks: The general risks possible at all school events are listed in the Acknowledgment of Risk and Informed Consent below. Mitigating factors for each risk are stated as well. If you have questions or concerns please contact the Program Enhancement Coordinator hosting the event.

Supervision: Supervision ratios will be in accordance with School Board policy, Safety Guidelines for Physical Activity in Alberta Schools and venue requirements. For specific details on the supervision ratios please see the Acknowledgement of Risk and Informed Consent below. This information is also provided in the monthly Events Newsletters.
