Registration for EDM: Edmonton Valley Zoo Gr.5-12 2019 is Closed

Come and join the Centre for Learning@HOME for a fun zoo day! We will have 2 program groups (Gr.1-4 & Gr.5-12) both programs will be running at the same time. Program fee includes zoo admission so you are welcome to stay and explore with your student once the program has ended

Northern Safari Tour:

Discover some of the animals that call Canada home! An interpreter will guide your group around the Zoo to meet some of our Canadian animals, as well as ones that live in similar habitats around the world. Learn about diverse ecosystems found in the northern parts of the world and how animals adapt to living in them. You'll have a chance to see some awesome animal artifacts and meet some of our smaller northern animals up close.

WHO: CFL Students Gr.5-12
COST: CFL Student = $12 (Student Resource Allocation may be applied if available.Should a student exceed the Student Resource Allocation, it is the parents' responsibility to pay for the event or cancel registration.)
Parent/ Guardian = $12
Sibling (best suited for attendees ages 10+) = $12

This activity will meet some of the learning outcomes of Science. Grade 7: Interactions and ecosystems. Grade 9: Biological diversity. Biology 20: Ecosystems and population change. Biology 30: Population and community dynamics:

This event is suitable for students grades 5-12.
Risks: The general risks possible at all school events are listed in the Acknowledgment of Risk and Informed Consent below. Mitigating factors for each risk are stated as well. If you have questions or concerns please contact the Program Enhancement Coordinator hosting the event.

Supervision: Supervision ratios will be in accordance with School Board policy, Safety Guidelines for Physical Activity in Alberta Schools and venue requirements. For specific details on the supervision ratios please see the Acknowledgement of Risk and Informed Consent below. This information is also provided in the monthly Events Newsletters.

Registration Timeline: Registration for CFL Siblings will commence 1 month following the date the event opens. Registration for CFL Siblings will open on September 9.
