Registration for CAL: HERITAGE PARK FIELD TRIP 2019 is Closed

Please join CFL for a fun filled day of activities at beautiful Heritage Park. This will be an afternoon of Historical Learning. There will be 3 groups participating in the following programs:

Grades 1-3 - Settling Our Prairie Frontier
Introduce students to the stories of fur traders, First Nations and early settlers on Canada's western frontier. Visit the original log home of Sam Livingston and his Metis wife Jane to compare home life then and now

Grades 4-6 - Wetlands and the West
Discover the history and significance of wetland ecosystems during the settlement of the West and the vital functions they perform today. Investigate invertebrate life by pond dipping in our own Bissett Wetlands.

Grades 7-9 - Junior High Paddlers and Partners
Would you have what it takes to become a Voyageur? Experience the complex interplay of international power politics, high finance and cross cultural trade!

Parent/ Guardian = $10

Registration Timeline: Registration for CFL Siblings will open on September 9th.

Print-Based, Online, Shared Responsibility (Blended) student = $10 (Student Resource Allocation may be applied if available.Should a student exceed the Student Resource Allocation, it is the parents' responsibility to pay for the event or cancel registration.)

This event is suitable for students grades 1-9
Risks: The general risks possible at all school events are listed in the Acknowledgment of Risk and Informed Consent below. Mitigating factors for each risk are stated as well. If you have questions or concerns please contact the Program Enhancement Coordinator hosting the event.

Supervision: Supervision ratios will be in accordance with School Board policy, Safety Guidelines for Physical Activity in Alberta Schools and venue requirements. For specific details on the supervision ratios please see the Acknowledgement of Risk and Informed Consent below. This information is also provided in the monthly Events Newsletters.
