Registration for CAL: GRANARY ROAD FIELD TRIP 2019 is Closed

Please join us for Learning Lessons at Granary Road. This will be an event filled 4 hours with instructors at Granary Road. We look forward to seeing you there!

Grades 1-3 & Grades 4-6 (the instruction will be grade level appropriate)
Both age groups will move through 3 learning sessions in the morning, lunch, and then have exploration time.

ANT FARM
This exhibit features a 4-storey structure with slides, ant, eggs, statues and climbing nets. You will learn about anatomy, ant colonies and all about life from an ant's point of view.

FARM FUN
Our working farm is home to goats, pigs, alpacas, bunnies, a pony, a miniature pony, sheep, a donkey, a peacock, turkeys, chickens and even two cute little barn kittens!

Frog Pond
Featuring in-ground trampolines and lily pad spinners this exhibit teaches about the 4 main stages of frog metamorphosis, frog anatomy, different species of frogs and fun facts about frog skin.

This event meets some of the learning outcomes for Science.

Sibling (best suited for Grades 1-6) = $18


Print-Based, Online, Shared Responsibility (Blended) student = $18 (Student Resource Allocation may be applied if available.Should a student exceed the Student Resource Allocation, it is the parents' responsibility to pay for the event or cancel registration

Registration Timeline: Registration for CFL Siblings will commence 1 month following the date the event opens. Registration for CFL Siblings:
Due to short registration timeline, this particular event will open to siblings on Sept. 5/2019


Risks: The general risks possible at all school events are listed in the Acknowledgment of Risk and Informed Consent below. Mitigating factors for each risk are stated as well. If you have questions or concerns please contact the Program Enhancement Coordinator hosting the event.

Supervision: Supervision ratios will be in accordance with School Board policy, Safety Guidelines for Physical Activity in Alberta Schools and venue requirements.
