Registration for GP: Family Orienteering Adventures 2021 is Closed

This event is tentatively scheduled whether the event will run as expected will depend on AHS and CTR guidelines for the time of the event.

Come learn the sport of orienteering. CFL has teamed up with the new Grande Prairie Orienteering club to teach all about the sport of Orienteering and navigation with map and compass. students will learn various skills required for reading and understanding maps; as well as navigation using landmarks.

Please note this is a family event siblings and parents are welcome and encouraged to participate to help maintain Family Cohorts. ALL Students in Grade 1-4 do require and adult chaperone to be registered. Everyone Including toddler siblings must register in advance to assist with contact tracing should the need arise.

WHERE: Muskoseepi Park, 102 St & 102 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB

COST: $5 - Cost is per map all students require a map; parents and siblings will have the option of purchasing additional maps.

Risks: The general risks possible at all school events are listed in the Acknowledgment of Risk and Informed Consent below. Mitigating factors for each risk are stated as well. If you have questions or concerns please contact the Program Enhancement Coordinator hosting the event.

Supervision: Supervision ratios will be in accordance with School Board policy, Safety Guidelines for Physical Activity in Alberta Schools and venue requirements.
